Saidu Sharif Airport is a small domestic airport serving Swat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Located near the Swat River between the villages of Dherai and Kanju, it functions as the main air gateway to the Swat Valley and the nearby towns of Saidu Sharif and Mingora.
The airport was built in 1978 and previously handled daily flights to Peshawar and Islamabad before operations were suspended during the First Battle of Swat in 2007. After renovation work, the airport reopened to commercial traffic, with Pakistan International Airlines resuming domestic flights to Swat.
Saidu Sharif Airport lies about 4 km from Saidu Sharif and roughly 4 km from Mingora, the main commercial centre of the district. Travelers can continue by taxi, private transfer or local road transport, with the Swat Motorway providing road access to the wider region.
