Rouses Point Seaplane Base is a small public-use water landing facility on the Richelieu River in the village of Rouses Point, Clinton County, New York. It serves seaplane traffic at the northern end of Lake Champlain, directly beside the US-Canada border, and has no traditional runways or passenger terminal.
Opened in January 1953 and privately owned, the base is operated alongside the local marina at Lake Street. Its water landing area measures about 7,900 by 500 feet and allows approaches in all directions, making it a practical stop for seaplane pilots crossing between the United States and Canada.
The facility sits essentially within the village, less than 1 km from the centre of Rouses Point and roughly 40 km (25 miles) south of Montreal and 40 km (25 miles) north of Plattsburgh. Road access is available via Lake Street and nearby state and US highways.
Because services are limited to marine gasoline and basic marina access, arriving passengers typically continue by pre-arranged road transport, rental car, taxi or private transfer.
