Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is the closest commercial airport to downtown Washington, D.C., located across the Potomac River in Arlington County, Virginia. Opened in 1941, it serves as a convenient gateway for domestic travel to and from the U.S. capital and surrounding region. The airport has two passenger terminals. Terminal 1 houses Concourse A, while Terminal 2 contains Concourses B, C, D and E, with airline assignments divided between the two terminals. A major modernization program added new security checkpoint buildings and expanded post-security space in Terminal 2, improving passenger flow. DCA is located about 4–5 miles from downtown Washington, D.C., and is directly connected to the Washington Metro's Blue and Yellow lines.
