Rolla National Airport is a public-use general aviation airport serving the city of Rolla and south-central Missouri. Located near Vichy on U.S. Highway 63, the airport supports private, business and flight-training aviation and functions as a regional transportation link for the surrounding Ozark area.
The airfield was originally built by the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1942 as a sub-base for Sedalia Army Air Field during World War II and was later transferred to the City of Rolla. Today it operates two lighted asphalt runways, each approximately 5,500 feet long, with non-precision VOR/DME and GPS approaches.
A terminal building opened in 2017 includes a pilot and passenger lounge, restrooms and showers. The airport offers aviation fuel, aircraft tiedowns, hangar rental, courtesy cars and flight instruction services through on-site businesses.
The airport is about 14 miles north of central Rolla and roughly 2 km northwest of Vichy, with road access via U.S. Highway 63. Travelers can continue to Rolla, Fort Leonard Wood, the Mark Twain National Forest and other Ozark destinations by private car, rental vehicle or pre-arranged transfer.
