Rockwood Municipal Airport is a public-use general aviation airport serving Rockwood and Roane County in eastern Tennessee. Activated in December 1962 and owned by the City of Rockwood, it supports private, business, flight training and backcountry flying activity in the Cumberland Plateau and Watts Bar Lake region.
The airport sits about three miles north of downtown Rockwood, with access from local roads and nearby Interstate 40 and Highway 27. Its single asphalt runway, 04/22, measures 5,000 by 100 feet and supports a range of general aviation aircraft; there is no scheduled commercial airline service.
Rockwood Aviation operates as the airport's fixed-base operator, providing fuel, aircraft parking, hangars, ground handling, maintenance, flight training and rental car arrangements. The airport also serves as a home base for backcountry flying in the Smoky Mountains foothills.
