About Roberts Field
Roberts Field (RDM) is the main commercial airport serving Redmond, Bend, and the Central Oregon region. The airport opened in the 1940s and was named after J. R. Roberts, a local leader who helped establish it.
Located about two miles southeast of downtown Redmond and roughly 15 miles north of Bend, RDM provides connections to major western U.S. hubs through Alaska, American, Delta, United, and Breeze Airways. The single passenger terminal handles around 30 daily flights.
The terminal includes airline check-in counters, a TSA security checkpoint, departure gates, baggage claim, car rental desks, free Wi-Fi, the Avalon Aeropub, a children's play area, and a free library. A terminal expansion project is adding more space, seating, concessions, and jet bridges.
Travelers can continue to Redmond, Bend, Sisters, Smith Rock State Park, and Mount Bachelor by rental car, taxi, shuttle, rideshare, or private transfer, with Highway 97 providing the main road connection through Central Oregon.
