The airport has a single compact terminal and one runway. In 2023, the runway was extended to about 1,340 metres and widened to 23 metres in rigid pavement, allowing larger aircraft such as the ATR42 to operate and improving access to the region.
Located about 2 km north of Nuquí town centre, the airport is close to the municipal hub and to the pier used for boat transfers to coastal beaches, lodges and areas such as Guachalito, Cabo Corrientes and Utría National Park.
