About Red Sea International Airport
Red Sea International Airport (RSI) is the dedicated international gateway to The Red Sea destination and AMAALA on Saudi Arabia's northwestern coast. It opened in 2023 for domestic flights and expanded to international services in 2024, connecting travellers to luxury resorts and islands along the Red Sea.
Located about 90 km south of Al Wajh and near the town of Hanak in Tabuk Province, the airport was designed by Foster + Partners and is operated by daa International on behalf of Red Sea Global. Its five dune-inspired terminal pods are part of a sustainability-focused airport complex powered by renewable energy.
Domestic flights operate from the Main Terminal Building, while international arrivals and seaplane services use the dedicated Air Taxi Terminal. Onward travel is typically arranged in advance, with electric vehicles, boats and seaplanes linking the airport to destinations including Turtle Bay, Shebara, Shura Island and The St. Regis Red Sea.
The airport is designed to make the passenger journey calm and efficient, with streamlined check-in, immigration, security and baggage processes. As phased expansion continues, Red Sea International Airport is strengthening its role as a gateway to Saudi Arabia's high-end tourism destinations.
