Located about 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Raton along U.S. Highway 64, the airport sits at an elevation of 6,352 feet (1,936 m) near the Colorado state line and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. It has two asphalt runways, with the main runway measuring 7,615 feet in length.
A fixed-base operator at the airport provides aviation fuel, aircraft parking, hangars, pilot amenities and limited aircraft services. Rental cars and courtesy vehicles are available for travel into Raton and the surrounding region, and private transfers can be arranged in advance.
