About Range Regional Airport
Range Regional Airport serves Hibbing and the Iron Range region of northeastern Minnesota, providing the area's scheduled air connection to Minneapolis-Saint Paul and onward destinations. Originally dedicated in 1931 as Hibbing Municipal Airport, the airport was renamed in 2010 and is owned and operated by the Chisholm-Hibbing Airport Authority.
The airport is located about four miles southeast of central Hibbing and offers daily Delta Connection service operated by SkyWest Airlines, as well as general aviation and charter activity. A modern single-level passenger terminal opened in 2015, replacing the earlier terminal and designed to reflect the region's mining heritage.
Ground access is simple by road, with free public parking adjacent to the terminal and on-site rental cars for travelers continuing to Hibbing, Chisholm, Virginia, Grand Rapids and other Iron Range communities.
Inside, passengers find compact and efficient facilities including check-in, TSA screening, baggage claim, free Wi-Fi, charging points and vending concessions, making it a practical gateway for the region.
