About Ramon International Airport
Ramon International Airport is the main airport serving Eilat and the southern Arava region. Opened in January 2019, it is named after Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon and his son Assaf Ramon, and has become a key gateway for travelers visiting Israel's Red Sea coast.
Located about 20 km north of Eilat near Be'er Ora, the airport handles both domestic and international traffic, including flights to Tel Aviv and Haifa as well as European destinations. Its single terminal brings check-in, security, arrivals and passenger services together in one modern building.
The airport is reached via Route 90 and connected to Eilat by public buses, taxis, private transfers and car rental, making it relatively easy to continue to hotels, beaches and resort areas.
With duty-free shopping, dining, free Wi-Fi and accessible passenger facilities, Ramon International Airport provides a compact and convenient arrival point for visitors to southern Israel.
