Located about 11 km west-southwest of downtown Québec City, the airport operates from a single terminal building. Its aviation history dates back to 1929, and a major expansion program known as YQB 2018 opened a new international terminal in December 2017 before linking the domestic and international areas in summer 2019.
The airport is reached by RTC public transit buses, taxis, limousines, ride-sharing services, private transfers and car rental, with on-site parking close to the terminal. Passengers can use self-service check-in kiosks, a CATSA security checkpoint, restaurants, shops, the V.I.P Lounge by Club Med, free Wi-Fi and charging points.
