About the Event

Festival d'été de Québec 2027 returns for 11 days of live music from July 8 to 18, 2027, turning Quebec City's historic centre into one of Canada's largest outdoor music gatherings. Since its earliest editions more than 50 years ago, the festival has grown into a major summer cultural event that pairs international touring acts with artists from Quebec and across Canada.

The program is spread across five outdoor stages. The main Bell Stage occupies the Plains of Abraham, a historic green space with room for more than 100,000 spectators, while the Loto-Québec Stage and Sirius XM Stage stand side by side at Place George-V. Two free-access stages, the Hydro-Québec Stage at Place de l'Assemblée-Nationale and the Crave Stage at Place D'Youville, bring performances into the surrounding streets, and Parc de la Francophonie and the Armoury host additional programming.

Musically, the festival spans rock, pop, hip hop and electronic music, combining headline sets with emerging and local acts. The 2027 lineup had not been fully announced at the time of writing, but Quebec dance-punk group La Sécurité became the first confirmed name on the 2027 bill after winning the Espoir FEQ 2026 prize for promising artists.

The festival draws a broad audience of music fans, families, local residents and visitors, with recent editions reporting total attendance around 1.5 million across the 11 days. General admission passes can be shared among friends and family, and children aged 0 to 10 enter general admission areas free with an adult, supporting the event's accessible, family-oriented atmosphere.

On site, festival-goers can find food concessions, beverage outlets, water refill stations, toilets and merchandise kiosks, while accessible viewing zones are available at each stage with advance reservation. The free stages and city-centre layout let visitors move between performances and explore nearby restaurants, terraces and streets filled with festival activity.

Beyond the headline concerts, the event supports emerging Quebec talent through initiatives such as Espoir FEQ and contributes to the city's summer tourism economy. The combination of large-scale main-stage shows, free community stages and a historic setting makes the festival a distinctive part of the Canadian live music calendar.
