About Puerto Rico Airport
Puerto Rico Airport is a small public airport serving Puerto Rico, a town in Bolivia's northern Pando Department, close to the border with Peru. It supports regional air connections and general aviation in a remote Amazonian part of Bolivia, near the Manuripi River and the Manuripi-Heath Amazonian Wildlife National Reserve.
The airport is located a short distance from the town centre and operates with a single runway and minimal infrastructure. Rather than a formal commercial terminal, it functions as a regional landing ground, so passenger facilities are limited and most services are arranged on site or in advance.
Travelers use the airport primarily for regional flights, charter services, and connections to larger Bolivian airports or other regional hubs. Road and river transport are important for continuing journeys in this part of Pando.
Because services are basic, passengers should plan ahead for transport, supplies, and communication, and confirm flight details with their airline or operator before travel.
