About Puerto Princesa International Airport

Puerto Princesa International Airport is the main gateway to Puerto Princesa City and the wider island of Palawan in the Philippines. It serves domestic routes and a limited number of international connections, and shares its runway with the Philippine Air Force's Antonio Bautista Air Base.

The current two-level passenger terminal opened in May 2017, replacing the older facility. It has a floor area of about 13,000 square metres and was built to handle around two million passengers per year, with a 2,600-metre runway that can accommodate larger aircraft.

Located in Barangay San Miguel, the airport is only about 2 km from central Puerto Princesa, so the city centre is a short ride by tricycle, taxi or van. It also offers onward access to Sabang, Honda Bay and the Puerto Princesa Underground River, while El Nido is reached by road further north along Palawan's coast.

The terminal provides waiting areas, food and beverage outlets, souvenir shops, lounges, free Wi-Fi, charging stations, ATMs, currency exchange and accessibility services, making it a practical entry point for travelers exploring Palawan.
