Puerto Berrio Airport (PBE)

Puerto Berrio Airport is a regional airport serving Puerto Berrío, a Magdalena River town in the Antioquia Department of Colombia. Also known as Morela Airport, it supports regional air travel, charter flights and general aviation for the Middle Magdalena region.

Located approximately 3 km south of central Puerto Berrío, the airport has a single asphalt runway measuring about 1,289 metres and a small passenger terminal. It operates during daylight hours and is primarily used for regional domestic connections and private or charter flights. In 2021, a new access bridge was completed to improve vehicle and pedestrian entry to the airport.

Puerto Berrío is connected to Medellín by road, with journeys typically taking around three to four hours depending on traffic and route. The airport therefore serves as a useful regional entry point for travellers continuing by taxi, private transfer or rental vehicle to the town and surrounding areas.

Passenger facilities at the airport are basic, with a modest terminal and limited services. Travellers are advised to arrange onward transport in advance and to plan for food, water and personal travel needs before arriving.
