About Provincetown Municipal Airport

Provincetown Municipal Airport is the main airport for Provincetown, Massachusetts, and the surrounding tip of Cape Cod. The public airport is operated by the Town of Provincetown on land leased from the National Park Service and sits within the Cape Cod National Seashore, making it one of the few airports in the United States located inside a national park.

Constructed in the 1940s with its runway first paved in 1948, the airport now serves as a compact regional gateway. Cape Air operates scheduled flights of about 25 minutes to Boston Logan International Airport, connecting the Outer Cape to dozens of North American destinations through JetBlue partnerships.

Located two miles northwest of central Provincetown, the airport is roughly ten minutes by car from the town center. Travelers can continue onward by taxi, seasonal CCRTA shuttle, rental car, or pre-arranged transfer to Provincetown, the Cape Cod National Seashore, and nearby communities such as Truro and Wellfleet.

The single terminal building, reconstructed in 1998, provides a passenger waiting area, TSA screening, complimentary Wi-Fi, and free parking, keeping arrivals and departures simple for both leisure and business visitors.
