Prineville Airport is a public-use general aviation airport serving Prineville, Crook County and the surrounding central Oregon high desert. The airfield was established in 1943 and is located about 3 miles (5 km) southwest of downtown Prineville.
Rather than scheduled airline flights, the airport primarily supports general aviation, business and charter flying, along with flight training and aircraft maintenance. Hood Aero serves as the fixed-base operator, providing fuel, ground support and terminal services.
The airport has two asphalt runways, 11/29 and 16/34, and a small passenger terminal with a pilot lounge, free Wi-Fi, restrooms, a planning room and a limited-use courtesy car. Fuel, tiedown parking and hangars are also available.
