The airport was activated in June 1959 and is owned by the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities. It operates a single gravel/dirt runway, 12/30, measuring about 1,975 by 45 feet, and has no control tower or regularly staffed terminal.
Located immediately west of the village, the airport is reached by local roads within Port Graham. Air taxi and charter flights connect the community with Homer, roughly 24 miles (38 km) to the northeast, and with nearby coastal settlements such as Seldovia.
