Pine Bluff Regional Airport, Grider Field is a city-owned, public-use general aviation airport serving Pine Bluff and southeast Arkansas. Located about 4 miles (7 km) southeast of downtown Pine Bluff, the airport provides a convenient gateway for private pilots, business aviation, and regional travel, with no scheduled commercial airline service.
Opened as a training airfield in June 1941 and named for World War I pilot John McGavock Grider, the field later became southeast Arkansas's first modern municipal airport. Today it encompasses approximately 850 acres and operates a single runway, 18/36, measuring 5,998 by 150 feet.
The airport is reached via Highway 65 South near US Highway 425, with downtown Pine Bluff roughly a 10-15 minute drive away and Little Rock approximately a 50-minute drive to the northwest. Ground transportation options include private transfers, taxis, rental cars and arranged chauffeur service.
Facilities at the field include a terminal and FBO building with a pilot lounge, quiet room, flight planning room, conference room, courtesy cars and an on-site restaurant, as well as self-service aviation fuel and aircraft parking.
