Pilot Point Airport (PIP)

Pilot Point Airport is a state-owned, public-use airport serving the community of Pilot Point in the Lake and Peninsula Borough of Alaska. Situated near the Bristol Bay coast on the Alaska Peninsula, it provides an essential air link for residents, visitors, and air taxi operations in an area with limited road access.

The airport has one gravel runway, designated 7/25, measuring 3,280 by 75 feet. Grant Aviation provides scheduled service between Pilot Point and King Salmon Airport, allowing travelers to connect with the wider Alaska air network, while general aviation and air taxi flights handle additional regional travel.

Located about 1.1 km from the centre of Pilot Point, the airfield is convenient for short local journeys. Because public transit is not available at the airport, onward travel is typically arranged through local pickups, private transfers, or short walks into the village.

The airport offers basic passenger amenities, including a small sheltered waiting area, but has no restaurants, shops, or fuel services on site. As a remote general aviation facility, it serves as a practical gateway for travel, supplies, and essential services across this part of southwest Alaska.
