Philip Billard Municipal Airport is a public general aviation airport serving Topeka, the capital city of Kansas, and the surrounding Shawnee County area. Opened in April 1940 and named in honour of Topeka aviator Philip L. Billard, the airport provided scheduled airline service until 1976, when commercial flights moved to what is now Topeka Regional Airport.
Located about three miles northeast of downtown Topeka, the airport today focuses on private, business, charter, and flight-training traffic. It is operated by the Metropolitan Topeka Airport Authority and features two asphalt runways, a control tower that operates during daytime hours, and a modern terminal completed in 2024.
