Petit Jean Park Airport is a public-use, state-owned general aviation airport serving Morrilton and the Petit Jean State Park area in central Arkansas. Located about nine miles west of central Morrilton on Petit Jean Mountain, it sits at an elevation of 923 feet and is the only airport located within an Arkansas State Park.
Activated in May 1955, the airport is operated on 148 acres by the State of Arkansas. It has a single asphalt runway, 03/21, measuring 5,852 by 75 feet, with no control tower; pilots use the common traffic advisory frequency 122.9.
As a general aviation facility, the airport does not offer scheduled airline service or a commercial terminal. It provides self-serve 100LL and Jet-A fuel, tie-down parking, and a fly-in campground with tent sites and a bathhouse for visiting pilots and campers.
Road access connects the airport to Morrilton, Conway, Russellville, and Interstate 40, while Little Rock is roughly 70 miles to the southeast. This makes the airport a convenient arrival point for private flights into Petit Jean State Park and the Arkansas River Valley.
