About Pellston Regional Airport
Pellston Regional Airport of Emmet County is the main air gateway to Northern Michigan's lakefront communities, serving Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Mackinaw City and the ferry connections to Mackinac Island. The current northern lodge-style passenger terminal opened in 2003, replacing the airport's earlier smaller terminal.
Located just northwest of the village of Pellston, the airport handles scheduled Delta flights to Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) along with general aviation activity. Its single terminal keeps arrivals, departures, airline check-in, security screening and baggage claim in one compact building.
The airport sits close to U.S. 31 and I-75, roughly 20 miles from Petoskey and Mackinaw City, where ferries depart for Mackinac Island. Rental cars, shuttles and taxis provide onward connections to nearby towns and resorts.
