Pedro Bay Airport is a small state-owned public-use airport serving the remote village of Pedro Bay on the north shore of Iliamna Lake in the Lake and Peninsula Borough of southwestern Alaska. Activated in 1963, it is primarily a general aviation and air taxi facility that connects this roadless community with regional hubs.
The airport sits about one nautical mile, or roughly 2 km, west of the village centre and has a single gravel and dirt runway, 9/27, measuring about 3,000 feet by 60 feet. There is no control tower, and the airfield is unattended; pilot-controlled runway lights and a rotating beacon support operations.
Pedro Bay has no direct road connection to Anchorage, so the airport is a critical lifeline for local residents and visitors.
