Patrick Space Force Base Airport (COF) is a military airfield on Florida's Space Coast, located in Brevard County between Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach. It supports U.S. Space Force operations and is home to Space Launch Delta 45, which manages launch activity at nearby Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The installation opened as Naval Air Station Banana River in 1940, transferred to the U.S. Air Force in 1948 and was renamed Patrick Air Force Base in 1950 in honor of Major General Mason Patrick. It was redesignated Patrick Space Force Base on 9 December 2020, becoming one of the first U.S. Space Force installations.
The airfield sits about 3 miles south of Cocoa Beach along State Road A1A, offering a convenient point for travel to Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Satellite Beach, Melbourne and the wider Space Coast. Orlando is roughly an hour away by road.
Because Patrick Space Force Base is an active military installation, public access is restricted and there are no commercial passenger terminals or public airline services.
