About Parlin Field
Parlin Field is a small public-use airport serving Newport, New Hampshire, and the surrounding Sullivan County area. Owned by the Town of Newport, it primarily supports general aviation, private flights, and recreational pilots rather than scheduled airline service.
The airport sits about two nautical miles (3.7 km) north of Newport's central business district and is within a short drive of Lake Sunapee and Mount Sunapee. Its airfield includes a 3,450-foot asphalt runway and a turf runway that is typically closed during the winter months, along with self-serve 100LL aviation fuel and on-site aircraft maintenance.
Instead of a conventional passenger terminal, Parlin Field uses a small airport operations building with restroom access, a picnic area and bicycle loans that connect visitors to the Sugar River Trail and nearby covered bridges.
Downtown Newport and regional destinations are reached by local roads, with rental cars, taxis, private transfers and charter vehicles available for onward travel.
