About Pangborn Memorial Airport
Pangborn Memorial Airport is the primary airport serving Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, and the Wenatchee Valley in North Central Washington. The airport is named after Clyde Pangborn, who completed the first nonstop transpacific flight with Hugh Herndon in 1931, landing in East Wenatchee. Commercial passenger service began in 1945, and today Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air operate daily flights to Seattle with onward connections.
The airport operates a single passenger terminal that opened in 1992 and offers check-in, security screening, gate areas, baggage claim, and passenger amenities. Its primary runway, Runway 12/30, was extended to 7,000 feet in 2016, and an instrument landing system has been in use since 2006.
Located about four miles east of Wenatchee in East Wenatchee, the airport is owned and operated by the Ports of Chelan and Douglas Counties. Ground transportation includes on-site rental cars, taxis, shuttles, rideshare services, and public parking.
