About Palm Beach County Glades Airport
Palm Beach County Glades Airport is a public general aviation airport serving Pahokee and the surrounding Glades communities of western Palm Beach County, Florida. Activated in June 1949, it operates as Palm Beach County's designated recreational airport under the Palm Beach County Department of Airports.
Located about three miles southwest of Pahokee and roughly 35 miles west of West Palm Beach, the airport supports private, recreational and agricultural aviation activity rather than scheduled airline service. Its single asphalt runway, Runway 18/36, is approximately 4,116 feet long, and the field is open to the public without a control tower.
The airport is reached via State Road 715, and the on-site FBO, Signature Aviation, provides a passenger terminal and lounge, fuel, aircraft parking, hangars and rental cars for arriving crews and visitors.
With no commercial screening or airline terminals, PHK is a straightforward entry point for pilots and private travelers exploring Lake Okeechobee, the Everglades agricultural region and the wider Palm Beach County area.
