Oscoda-Wurtsmith Airport is a public-use airport in Iosco County, Michigan, serving the Oscoda area and the Lake Huron shoreline of northeastern Michigan. It was established on a portion of the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base and opened as a public airport in 1993.
The airport is located about three nautical miles northwest of Oscoda and primarily handles cargo and light general aviation, with no scheduled passenger service. Cargo operators such as Kalitta Air and Omni Air International use the airfield, while the on-site fixed-base operator, Phoenix Aviation Services, supports private and corporate aircraft.
The facility has a single general aviation terminal and one long runway, Runway 7/25, which measures 11,800 by 200 feet. Ground access is provided by local roads connecting to US-23, and travelers can continue to Oscoda, Tawas City, East Tawas, Alpena, and nearby Lake Huron communities by rental car, taxi, or private transfer.
