About Ocean County Airport
Ocean County Airport is a county-owned, public-use general aviation airport serving Toms River, Ocean County, and New Jersey's central Jersey Shore region. Opened in 1968 as the Ocean County Air-Park, it was renamed in 1970 to honor Ocean County Freeholder Robert J. Miller, who helped expand the facility.
The airport is located about five nautical miles (9 km) southwest of central Toms River and covers roughly 822 acres straddling Berkeley and Lacey townships. It serves private planes, corporate jets, flight training, and emergency services aircraft rather than scheduled commercial flights.
Two runways and a heliport support a range of general aviation operations. The main paved runway 06/24 provides a precision instrument approach, while a crosswind runway and heliport accommodate additional aircraft movements.
The airport is reached via Route 530 and is a short drive from the Garden State Parkway, making it convenient for pilots and passengers heading to Toms River, Bayville, and Jersey Shore destinations. On-site terminal and FBO services include fuel, aircraft maintenance, flight training, and passenger facilities.
