Norwich Airport is the main airport serving Norwich and the wider East Anglia region, with a catchment covering Norfolk, Suffolk and northern Cambridgeshire. It handles scheduled, charter and offshore-support flights, connecting travellers to domestic and European destinations.
Originally opened in 1933 at Mousehold, the airport moved to its current Horsham St Faith site in 1967 and today operates from a single passenger terminal. It is run by Regional & City Airports and supports leisure and business travel, as well as fixed-wing and helicopter operations linked to the North Sea energy industry.
Located about 2.5 miles (4 km) north of Norwich city centre, the airport is reached by road via the A140 and served by local bus links, including the airport park-and-ride service, taxis and car rental. Norwich railway station, in the city centre, provides onward rail connections.
