Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport serves Panama City, Panama City Beach and the wider Northwest Florida Gulf Coast. It opened on May 23, 2010 as the first international airport built in the United States after September 11, and is owned and operated by the Panama City-Bay County Airport and Industrial District.
Located in Bay County on about 4,000 acres, the airport lies less than 30 minutes from Panama City Beach, Panama City and the beaches of South Walton. Its single terminal covers 125,000 square feet with seven gates, and American, Delta, Southwest and United provide daily and seasonal nonstop service to cities across the United States with onward connections.
