North Texas Regional Airport Perrin Field is a county-owned public airport in Grayson County, Texas, serving Sherman, Denison and the surrounding North Texas area. The airport operates on the former site of Perrin Air Force Base, which was built in 1941 and closed in 1971.
Located between Sherman and Denison, roughly four miles west of the two cities, the airport supports general aviation, charter, corporate and cargo activity rather than scheduled airline service. Its main runway is 9,000 feet long, and the property covers nearly 1,400 acres with room for aviation and industrial development.
The modern Rise Aviation FBO terminal, opened in 2022, provides a passenger lobby, lounges, a conference room, business centre and on-site car rental. Fuel, hangars, aircraft parking and an airport fire department are also available.
