Neosho Hugh Robinson Airport (EOS)

Neosho Hugh Robinson Airport is a city-owned public-use airport serving Neosho, the county seat of Newton County in southwest Missouri. Opened in 1966, it functions as a general aviation airport for private pilots, business aircraft and light charter traffic rather than scheduled airline service.

The airport was renamed in 1999 in honor of Hugh Armstrong Robinson, a Neosho native and early aviation pioneer. It sits about three miles south of central Neosho and roughly 20 miles south of Joplin, giving the community convenient local access to the region's airspace and road network.

A single asphalt runway, designated 1/19 and measuring 5,001 by 100 feet, supports general aviation operations. The Hugh Robinson Memorial Terminal, completed in 2007, houses a pilots' lounge, quiet room, conference room and concessions area, while the runway and taxiway were resurfaced the same year.

The airport is reached by road from Neosho, with private vehicles, taxis and pre-arranged transfers providing the main onward connections. For commercial flights, travelers typically use Joplin Regional Airport about 21 nautical miles to the north or other larger airports in the region.
