About Necochea Airport
Necochea Airport is the main airport serving Necochea, an Atlantic coastal city in the south of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Also known locally as Aeropuerto Edgardo Hugo Yelpo, it was built in 1953 and inaugurated in 1955.
Located northwest of central Necochea, the airport sits in the countryside about 12 km from the city centre and covers around 280 hectares. It has a compact single-level passenger terminal of about 400 m².
The airport is reached by road, with taxis, remises, private transfers and rental cars providing the main connections to the city centre, Quequén and surrounding coastal areas.
With a small and simple terminal layout, the airport offers straightforward passenger processing and basic facilities, making it a convenient regional gateway rather than a large commercial hub.
