About Natchez–Adams County Airport
Natchez–Adams County Airport is a county-owned public-use airport serving Natchez and Adams County in southwestern Mississippi. It provides a gateway for visitors traveling to the historic Mississippi River city and the surrounding region, and since July 2026 it has offered scheduled commercial service through United Express flights to Houston.
The airport was activated in December 1944 and operates with two runways: a 6,500-foot main runway and a 5,000-foot secondary runway. In 2026, a 10,000-square-foot hangar was converted into a modern commercial passenger terminal, reintroducing daily air service after a gap of more than 30 years.
Located about six nautical miles (11 km) northeast of central Natchez, the airport is reached by road in roughly 15–20 minutes depending on traffic. Ground transportation options include rental cars, taxis, private transfers and rideshare, connecting passengers to downtown Natchez, Vidalia, Louisiana and other nearby destinations.
The terminal offers airline ticketing, TSA screening, baggage handling and passenger waiting areas, while general aviation facilities include fuel, hangars and FBO services. Its small size allows for a straightforward, convenient passenger experience for regional travel.
