About Nashville International Airport
Nashville International Airport is the main international airport serving Nashville and the wider Middle Tennessee region. Opened in 1937 as Berry Field, it has grown into a major gateway for domestic and international travel into Music City.
The airport operates through one main passenger terminal, the Robert C. H. Mathews Jr. Terminal, with four concourses connected airside after a central security checkpoint. Recent improvements under the airport's expansion program include a new Grand Lobby, an expanded Concourse D and a dedicated International Arrivals Facility.
Located about 8 miles east of downtown Nashville, the airport is reached by Interstate 40, the WeGo public bus Route 18, taxis, ride-hailing services, hotel shuttles, private transfers and rental cars, making it easy to continue to the city center and surrounding areas.
Passengers at BNA can enjoy live music, locally inspired dining, shops, lounges and other amenities that reflect Nashville's identity as a music and entertainment destination.
