About Napaskiak Airport
Napaskiak Airport is a small state-owned, public-use airport serving Napaskiak, a Yup'ik village on the lower Kuskokwim River in southwestern Alaska. The airport opened in June 1974 and is located about one mile southwest of the village.
The airport has a single gravel runway, Runway 2/20, measuring approximately 3,000 by 60 feet, with medium-intensity edge lighting. It supports regional air taxi, charter, and general aviation traffic, linking Napaskiak with Bethel and other communities in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.
Because Napaskiak is not connected to other Alaska communities by an all-season road system, the airport is an important year-round access point. Bethel Airport, the regional hub, lies about five miles to the north and offers onward connections to Anchorage and other destinations.
Passenger facilities are limited, so visitors should expect a simple airfield experience and arrange local transportation, supplies, or additional services through Bethel when needed.
