Napa County Airport (APC)

Napa County Airport is a public general aviation airport serving the city of Napa and the surrounding Napa Valley wine region. Built in 1942 as the Napa Auxiliary Air Defense Field and later known as Napa Army Airfield, the airport was transferred to Napa County after the war and now primarily handles private, corporate, and charter aircraft rather than scheduled commercial flights.

Located about five miles south of downtown Napa between the cities of Napa and Vallejo, the airport operates three runways and a Class D control tower. It accommodates light aircraft through midsize corporate jets and serves both business and leisure travelers visiting northern California's wine country.

Two full-service FBOs, Skyservice Napa and Atlantic Aviation, provide passenger lounges, hangar and ramp parking, fueling, and concierge ground transportation. There is no on-field U.S. Customs facility, so international arrivals typically clear customs at Oakland or San Francisco before continuing to Napa.

Road access is available via Airport Road, with downtown Napa roughly a 10-minute drive away and Napa Valley towns such as Yountville and St. Helena within about 25 to 45 minutes by car. This makes the airport a convenient gateway for private travelers heading to hotels, wineries, and events throughout the valley.
