About Namsos Airport
Namsos Airport (OSY) is a small regional airport serving the town of Namsos and the Namdalen district in Trøndelag county. Opened in 1967, it was one of the first short-takeoff-and-landing airports in Norway and remains an important link for local and regional air travel.
Located at Høknesøra beside the Namsen river, roughly four kilometres from central Namsos, the airport is served by Widerøe Dash 8 aircraft on scheduled domestic routes to Trondheim and Rørvik, operated under public service obligation contracts.
The airport has a single compact terminal combining check-in, security, arrivals and baggage claim. Passenger facilities are limited: short-term and long-term parking, taxi service and car rental are available, while the airport does not have shops or restaurants.
Air traffic services are provided remotely from Avinor's Remote Tower Centre in Bodø since September 2022. With a short drive to central Namsos and onward road connections across Namdalen, the airport is a practical gateway for residents and visitors.
