Andøya Airport, Andenes is a domestic airport serving the village of Andenes on the northern tip of Andøya island in Norway’s Vesterålen archipelago. It provides essential regional connections for Andøy Municipality and gives travellers access to Andøya’s coastal landscapes and wildlife tourism, including whale watching.
The airport site developed around Andøya Air Station, which was established in the 1950s. Civilian flights began in 1964 with services to Oslo, and Widerøe has operated regional public service routes from Andenes since the 1970s. Today the airport is run by the state-owned company Avinor, which took over operation of the civilian terminal from the armed forces in 2024.
Andøya Airport, Andenes has a single passenger terminal about 2 km south of Andenes centre, so the village can be reached in a short taxi ride or roughly ten minutes on foot. Widerøe links the airport with regional destinations including Bodø, Tromsø, Stokmarknes and Harstad/Narvik.
