Located about 2 miles (3 km) northeast of the village, the airport has a single gravel-dirt runway, 02/20, measuring 3,501 by 75 feet (1,067 by 23 metres), and one small passenger terminal. Scheduled regional flights connect Mountain Village with hub communities such as Bethel and St. Mary's, supporting travel, mail, cargo and everyday access to services.
Because Mountain Village is not connected by road, the airport is a lifeline for residents and visitors, with local vehicle pickup, ATVs and snowmachines used for travel between the airport and the village.
