Located on Alaska's Seward Peninsula, Moses Point Airport serves the small community of Elim and the surrounding Norton Sound area. The airfield lies about 8 miles (13 km) northeast of Elim, along the coast at Moses Point.
The airport was used as Moses Point Army Airfield during World War II and is now a privately owned, private-use facility operated by the Elim Native Corporation. It has a single gravel runway designated 6/24, measuring 3,000 by 60 feet (914 by 18 m), and the field is unattended, with prior permission required for use.
Because the airport has no conventional passenger terminal or scheduled commercial airline service, most travelers arrive and depart by private aircraft, air taxi or charter flights. Road access between Moses Point and Elim is limited, so onward travel is usually arranged in advance.
Although facilities are minimal, the airfield remains a useful local link for residents and visitors traveling to Elim, Nome and other remote communities in western Alaska.
