Morristown Regional Airport, also known as Moore-Murrell Airport, is a public-use general aviation airport serving Morristown, Tennessee, and the surrounding Lakeway region. Located about 4 miles southwest of the city, it functions as a gateway for private, business, and recreational flying rather than scheduled commercial airline service.
Aviation activity at the site began with a grass strip in 1953, followed by the first paved runway in 1958 and the first professional terminal in 1968. The original terminal was demolished in 2009, and a new facility opened in 2010 as the Evelyn Bryan Johnson Terminal, named for the airport's longtime manager.
The airport's single asphalt runway, Runway 5/23, is 5,718 feet long, and its terminal and ramp support general aviation operations year-round. The on-site fixed-base operator, Morristown Air Service, provides fuel, aircraft parking, hangar space, maintenance, and flight support.
