Monument Valley Airport (GMV)

Monument Valley Airport (GMV) is a small general aviation airfield serving the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park area in southeastern Utah, close to the Arizona state line. It is a private-use facility that primarily handles private and charter aircraft rather than scheduled commercial flights.

The airport sits near Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah, at an elevation of about 5,192 ft (1,583 m), with a single 4,000 ft asphalt runway aligned 16/34. Its location places it minutes from the red sandstone formations of Monument Valley and within reach of nearby communities such as Kayenta, Arizona and Mexican Hat, Utah.

Road access is via U.S. Route 163 and U.S. Route 160, with Kayenta, Arizona about 24 miles (39 km) to the south and Page, Arizona roughly 70 miles (110 km) to the west. There is no scheduled public transport, so most visitors continue by private car, rental vehicle or pre-arranged transfer.

For travelers arriving by air, the airport provides a convenient general aviation gateway to the park and the wider Four Corners region. Facilities are limited, so passengers should plan dining, lodging and other services in nearby communities.
