About Montrose Regional Airport
Montrose Regional Airport is the main commercial airport serving Montrose and Colorado's Western Slope, and a key gateway to Telluride, Ouray, Ridgway, Crested Butte and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The current enhanced terminal was dedicated on June 25, 1988, and the airport has since grown into an important access point for ski and outdoor recreation travel.
Located roughly 3 km (2 miles) northwest of downtown Montrose, the airport provides year-round connections to Denver and Dallas/Fort Worth as well as seasonal service to other U.S. cities. A recently completed terminal expansion doubled the terminal footprint and added a two-story concourse, additional gates, ticket counters and self-service kiosks.
The airport is reached by road and offers rental cars, shuttles, taxis and private transfers for continuing journeys to Montrose, Telluride and surrounding resort communities.
