Missoula Montana Airport is the primary commercial airport serving Missoula and western Montana. The airport first opened in 1941 and was later named Johnson-Bell Field before adopting its current name in 2021.
Located about 6 km (4 miles) northwest of downtown Missoula, the airport offers nonstop flights to major U.S. cities and seasonal destinations, connecting the region to domestic and international networks through major hubs.
A new passenger terminal opened in 2022 as part of a long-term modernization project, with a single terminal building organized around two concourses and ongoing expansion of gates, baggage claim and rental car facilities.
