About Miramar Airport
Miramar Airport is a small public-use airport serving Miramar, an Atlantic coastal town in the south of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Also known as Aeródromo Juan Domingo Perón, the airport mainly supports general aviation and light aircraft operations for the surrounding coastal region.
Located along Provincial Route 77, roughly 5 km northwest of central Miramar, the airport offers a convenient air link to this beach resort area, which lies about 48 km south of Mar del Plata. A control tower inaugurated in 1997 supports the arrival of small aircraft.
The airport has an asphalt runway and additional shorter unpaved strips suited to private flights, air taxi and general aviation. Its single terminal handles arrivals, departures and basic passenger services on a small scale, while road access via Route 77 makes the short trip into central Miramar straightforward.
For onward travel, taxis, private transfers and rental cars connect the airport with Miramar, the Atlantic coast and nearby towns, while larger scheduled flight options are available at Mar del Plata's airport to the north.
