Miraflores Airport (MFS)

Miraflores Airport is a small regional airport serving the municipality of Miraflores in Guaviare Department, Colombia. Set on the eastern bank of the Vaupés River, it acts as the main local air gateway for the town and nearby river communities in this remote southeastern part of the country.

The airport is located approximately 2 km from the centre of Miraflores and around 150 km southeast of San José del Guaviare, the departmental capital. It has a single unpaved runway and compact passenger handling areas, reflecting its role as a regional aerodrome rather than a large commercial hub.

Travelers can continue into town by taxi, mototaxi or pre-arranged private transfer, while river and road links connect Miraflores with other parts of Guaviare. Because the airport is small, services are limited, but the short distance to the town centre makes local transfers straightforward.

Although passenger traffic is more limited than at Colombia's major airports, Miraflores Airport remains an important connection point for local residents and visitors travelling in this part of the department.
